Professional D.J. / Entertainer Staff With “Experience”
NO D.J. TRAINEES ARE EMPLOYED. A minimum of 4 years experience in private parties, night clubs, etc... is required just to be granted an interview. In our interviews, extensive written tests must be passed to be granted an audition. To work for PROGRESSIVE ENTERTAINMENT, you must have: a good look, be very polished on the microphone, be a good emcee and crowd motivator with a good personality, be familiar with all formats of music, have an excellent attitude about requests, and be able to read a crowd well, be able to entertain a mixed crowd with the proper music variety. We require our D.J.s to be familiar with all the popular new dances such as line dances, etc... in case the crowd needs to be shown how. We also require our D.J.s to have advanced “mechanical fundamentals” in music such as knowing Beats Per Minute and harmonic keys in music. This advanced knowledge is extremely essential in having a much better, consistently full dance floor. This means our D.J.s understand and maintain consistent tempos which, at times, can be overlaid and mixed over each other from song to song. This is much more successful than letting the song completely fade out, which clears the dance floor. This can only be achieved if the D.J. knows these skills.

Choose The Style Performance You Want The D.J. To Do
Just let PROGRESSIVE ENTERTAINMENT know ahead of time what kind of performance you wish. For example: very conservative, conservative but fun, very fun & outgoing (a motivator, or extremely interactive. If you wish, a fun and outgoing performance, this would be done in good taste and without overdoing it, such as not talking every single second, etc.. but will be effective. Upon you wish, the D.J. can do anything, from motivating people to dance, getting the crowd to do popular sing-a-longs, hand clapping, popular group dance participation, teach line dances, emcee activities or contests and getting the crowd involved, etc... (Just tell us what you want us to do or not to do.)

You won’t be embarrassed by old, outdated equipment or a home stereo. This is all NEW, PROFESSIONAL quality equipment that comes in either a wheel in D.J. booth or a table top equipment case. It is loaded with the finest “dual CD player” with pitch control, (also a backup CD player) “dual tape deck” for customers tape accommodation for lip sync, talent shows, etc. These excellent music sources are tied into the finest “mixing board”, “EQ”, “amplifier” and “speaker systems” available. It also comes with 2 microphones (1 wireless mic and 1 wired mic). This equipment looks and sounds exceptional!

“Free” Professional Mirrorball System and Lights (For Evening Events Only)
A self contained, height adjustable, telescopic pole which has a turning motor which turns a 16” mirroball that has two (2) par 46 lights that shine on the ball. This really helps create a classy dance atmosphere.

“Free - Exclusive” Bubble Machine (For Indoor Events - By Request)
At different times the D.J. turns on this exciting machine which puts out large party bubbles throughout the dance floor. Very motivational as people of all ages enjoy this effect which looks beautiful through the mirrorball and light effects.
